We're off to see the Wizard......

Oh, the beginning of the absolute craziest week of the year!! I think the worst part of the musical at our house will be, as usual, next Monday night when Robert is trying to figure out what to do with himself (I may drag him to a basket bingo, he used to have pretty good luck when he was younger!)

I got to see a little preview this evening, to keep from getting in trouble, I won't expound, but I am very impressed with everything I have seen.

Robert is Uncle Henry on Thursday night, Friday night and Sunday. He is the Guard for the Friday morning show and the Saturday shows. He loves both parts but I am especially looking forward to Saturday because he sings.

Thrown in for good measure this week, I have class tomorrow night, our first night of Word--by the way, I gained a student last week, which makes this my biggest class ever--7. And then there is the fact that I got this hair brained idea last week to paint the kitchen. Of course, I don't just pick a color. I picked out Orchard Park Plaid. I gathered a napkin, three longaberger picture frames and a basket and away we went to Menards to get the paint. So......My walls are sage green, my cabinets are ivory, the ceiling is a lighter ivory, the cabinet doors are (going to be) paprika and the little trim (and there is a BUNCH of it) is rich brown. I love what is done, but the big problem is it ISN'T done. Andrew took all the hardward off the cabinets and is planning on cleaning the 80+ years of paint off of it. He has three days off so I am not to worry....it should be done by Saturday, which is good since I am having company in for the musical. I am technically having company Wednesday night, as it is our Youth group fun night and we are all meeting here to go geocaching then out for pizza. Maybe, just maybe, everything will be perfect by then!

Then, there is April 15th. Everybody be forewarned, the cutoff for the child tax credit is SIXTEEN. Robert turned 17 before the end of the year. Andrew and I neither one like letting the government keep our money interest free, we never get hardly anything back. So as you can imagine, us loosing our $1,000 tax credit= us paying a $1,000 in taxes. Not looking forward to the 15th. There are all these things online where you can set up a payment agreement. Yeah, let me know how that works for ya'. I think I will pass and just feel broke. I'm still trying to figure out why I can't be one of those "50% of middle class America doesn't pay taxes". I missed that class and afraid I am too big of a tightwad for our own good. According to the tax websites, if our mortgage were bigger, we bought more cars, owed more money to doctors, hospitals, dentists, etc, had more debt. We would probably be better off.

Oh well, Andrew reminds me that at least when we pay taxes, it turns around and pays my wages, guess it's only fair.

I will try to post pictures from the musical next week but if you get a chance, you should come out, I don't believe you will be disappointed.

What night do you want and how many? The last I knew, nothing was sold out yet. I can get you some or you can call the high school office this week and pick them up there. As long as it doesn't sell out, you can buy at the door too.
