Things have been so borderline crazy that I have slipped a bit with the blogging. If you are friends with me on fb, you know the house is done, I wanted to wait until my door was up to post it on it. The door was supposed to come within three weeks. Tuesday will be three weeks....nothing like having to wait until the last minute. A couple of other little things going on here at our house though. Back when I was little (6-8) my mom and dad was redoing our house. My mom ordered two crystal chandeliers, identical; for her living room and kitchen. For quite some time, she had told me I could have them, and I wanted them for my living room/dining room. Before Robert inherited Juniors, mom had told him he could have her house some day. He put a stop to the chandeliers being moved because he wanted them. Well, now that those plans have changed, mom bought a ceiling fan for her living room and another light for her kitchen and next Saturday morning, Andrew is taking down the chandeliers and putting up her new fixtures. I am going to refinish the chandeliers, Andrew is going to rewire them and then I will have them. I can't wait! We have an antique light over our dining room table and it will find a home someplace else in the house but it just didn't put out the amount of light I wanted in the dining area. I believe the chandeliers will just look like they were made for my house and the history of them being Mom and Dad's is just that much more special.
Anyway, here are some before and after's of my house....
We need to get pics up on Robert's blog of his house, they are hoping for a major milestone Monday night, so probably after that.
Andrew and I took in the Covered Bridge Festival over Columbus Day. First time ever I had to go find an ATM machine so yes, I probably spent too much however, Andrew bought one of MY Christmas presents....first time ever that has been done before December 24th...haha, not really but seriously I think it is the first time he has ever had me something bought before December 1.
Today I am starting to look at Christmas crafts and get in the mood to start presents. I will leave you with some of my fall decorations. I didn't do Halloween so everything should be around until Thanksgiving.
